nce upon a time, there was a girl. Her name was Jasmine. She got married to a rich boy named Luis. He was very kind and big-hearted.
After a year of marriage, Jasmine and Luis were blessed with a baby girl. She was pretty like her mother. The couple named her Kerry. The name was as sweet as her.
After two days, they bought her a baby home. Once Kerry was sleeping in the cradle while Jasmine and Luis were busy with their work. Suddenly, the cradle broke and fell. Both Jasmine and Luis ran towards Kerry to lift her.
Jasmine started crying and told Luis, “You bought this cradle. Didn’t you check the material properly?”
Luis started shouting at Jasmine and said, “She is my daughter as well. Why are you blaming me?” The fight started.
Later, Jasmine took Kerry with her and went to her dad’s house.
When she left, Luis started shouting from behind, “Kerry is my daughter as well. Come back.” But Jasmine didn’t respond.
On reaching her dad’s house, she told her parents and siblings about all that had happened. Her parents made Jasmine understand that what she had done was not good.
The next morning, Luis came and said sorry to Jasmine. Both realized they were wrong and returned to their home.
After 3 years, Jasmine and Luis were blessed with another daughter. They named her Kirra. They gave lots of love to their daughters.
After another 3 years, when Kerry was 6 and Kirra was 3, the couple wanted a son but Jasmine again gave birth to a third girl. They were upset. They planned to give this last baby to Jasmine’s cousin because she had only one son and no daughter.
While they were sleeping in the hospital, Luis had a nightmare. An old man asked him, “Why are you giving your blessing to someone else? She is your daughter. She may earn you a good name. Daughters are a blessing. And why don’t you give your first two daughters to someone else? Think about it before you give this baby to anyone.”
In the morning, Luis told Jasmine, “I am not going to give my daughter to anyone.”
“So do I think”, said Jasmine.
Never give your blessing to someone else because your blessing can be your pride.
