PULWAMA — Government forces have installed lights at Rohmu village in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district where a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) is underway.
Sources said that joint forces including troopers from 52 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operations Group (SOG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cordoned off Wani Mohalla of Rohmu village during late evening hours on Friday.
Sources said that the CASO was launched after inputs about the presence of militants in the village.
Forces had installed lights while door-to-door searches were underway when this report was being filed.
Locals said that no contact with any militant has been established so far. (KNT)
