SRINAGAR — Four persons including a civilian were injured on Friday afternoon after suspected militants hurled a grenade towards a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) party at Nawab Bazar Chowk in Srinagar.
The grenade was aimed at troopers of CRPF’s 36 Battalion and exploded with a bang, leaving at least four persons injured, including a civilian.
Three of them have been identified as Constable Fayaz Ahmed, trooper Harish Kumar and civilian Hazik Ali, a resident of Chanapora who runs a poultry shop.
The condition of the injured is stated to be stable. The area was cordoned off after the attack. However, no arrests were made. (KNT)
