Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday raided a residential house in Wangipora village of Sumbal in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district in connection with the Handwara narco-militancy case.
Quoting unnamed sources, KDC reported that sleuths of NIA accompanied by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and local police raided the residential house of Showkat Ahmad Parray, son of Abdul Salaam Parray, a resident of Wangipora village in Sumbal.
Sources said that Showkat is currently facing detention regarding the Handwara narco-militancy case.
A top police official also confirmed to KDC that a raid is underway in the village without furnishing more details. (KDC)
