Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a man belonging to South Kashmir’s Pulwama district in Jammu for his involvement in a case related to the recovery of an Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) from a boy near Jammu Bus Stand last Sunday.
Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh, said that Rah Hussain Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid Bhat, a resident of Batbagh Hunipora area of Nehama in Pulwama, has been arrested in case FIR number 05/2021.
He said that the case was registered in Police Station Bus Stand, Jammu, under sections 4/5 ESA, 18, 23, 38 UA(P)A, 120B of IPC.
“The case was registered after recovery of IED from Suhail Bashir at Jammu Bus Stand on February 14, which prevented a major terror strike in Jammu,” the IGP said, adding that further investigation in the case is going on. (KNO)
