“Hehra! Heart Karhama?”: Bab and his Love for a Demanding Grandson

Abbas is another friend who is loved by his grandfather — Bab — to desperate lengths.

Bab owns vast swathes of agricultural land and is always mindful of not risking the good fortune by breaking the heart of his grandson.

He, almost daily, calls him to ask, “Kati chukh?” (Where are you?). If answered, Bab‘s happiness knows no bounds that his beloved Abbas picked up his call.

Abbas once asked Bab to buy him a Scorpio vehicle but he feigned poverty and refused the demand.

Okay! Teli kerizini meh shaamas phone kenh ki kati chukh (Don’t call me in the evening to ask for my whereabouts?),” Abbas told him amicably.

Understanding the ominous tone and angered, Bab yelled, “Hehra! Heart karhama? (So you wish me a heart attack?)” and went to get him a new Scorpio vehicle then and there.
