Rajouri: A soldier was killed as India and Pakistan armies exchanged fire along the Line of Control in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district.

“Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on the line of control (LoC) in Sundarbani Sector, District Rajouri. Our troops responded strongly to the enemy fire. In the incident, Sep Laxman was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries,” an army officer told GNS.

He said “Laxman was a brave, highly motivated and a sincere soldier.”

The flare-ups along LoC have increased in the last several years.
