Bandipora: Government forces on Thursday claimed to have arrested a militant who, according to them, had joined militants two weeks ago.

Quoting unnamed sources, Kashmir News Trust (KNT) reported that the militant who has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad of Panzigam village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district had allegedly joined Jaish-e-Muhammad militant organization 14 days ago.

“A pistol, 10 bullets and 5 grenades were recovered from the possession of apprehended militant.”, a police officer said.

A formal case in this regard has been registered and investigation has been started, the officer added. (KNT)
