Poonch: The Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday claimed to have busted a militant hideout in Mandi area of Poonch district in Jammu region.
Quoting unnamed officials, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported that on specific intelligence information, a party led by Deputy Commandant of BSF comprising of troops from BSF, Army RR and SOG of police launched an operation in forest area in Hadiguda village falling under Police Station Mandi.
In the Operation, a militant hideout was busted while arms and ammunition have been recovered, officials said.
The recovery include “one AK-47 Rifle, three AK magazines, 82 AK rounds, three Chinese pistols, five pistol magazines, 33 Pistol ammunition, four Hand Grenades, one UBGL grenade and one Set Kenwood type,” officials added.
Officials further stated that search operation is still going on in the area. (KNO)
