Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir [State] Board of School Education has decided not to conduct the examination for the theory papers and external practical of Class 11th in the Kashmir Valley and Warwan area of Kishtwar district that was postponed on January 3 and 6 due to snowfall.
However, according to an order, the Board has decided that the marks in the leftover theory papers that were postponed shall be awarded proportionately — calculated as the mean of the marks obtained by the candidate in other theory papers in which he/she has appeared.
“The marks in the External practical shall be awarded proportionally on the basis of the marks obtained in Internal assessment already conducted by the respective Schools of Kashmir Division and Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division,” reads the order issued by Director Academics, Dr Farooq Ahmed Peer.
