Hours after granted bail by NIA, Waheed Parra detained again, claims Mehbooba

Srinagar: The former chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief, Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday stated that her party’s youth president Waheed Parra after granted bail was detained by CIK Jammu.

In a tweet, Mehbooba Mufti questioned the arrest of Parra, saying that this is brazen contempt of court. She also urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene so that justice is delivered.

Mehbooba Mufti wrote, “Despite NIA Court granting bail to @parawahid after thorough court proceedings, he has now been detained by CIK in Jammu. Under what law & for what crime has he been arrested? This is brazen contempt of court. Request @manojsinha_ ji to intervene so that justice is served.”
