Government forces attacked in Awantipora, search launched

Srinagar: Suspected militants on Thursday afternoon fired upon government forces in Kadlabal Charsoo area of South Kashmir’s Awantipora, GNS reported.

A senior police officer told the news agency that militants fired upon joint forces of Police and CRPF from a distance. However, in the incident, no loss of life or injury has been reported.

As this report was being filed, forces had launched a manhunt to nab the attackers. (GNS)
