Heavy cross-LoC firing in Gurez sector, residents shifted to safer places

Jammu: Two teenage girls were on Sunday detained by government forces on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch, KNO reported. They are believed to be from Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK).

The Duo was detained in Poonch sector while they were infiltrating into this side of LoC, officials said.

“Both have been detained by the army and are being handed over to the police but their actual identities are yet to be ascertained,” KNO quoted unnamed official sources as saying.

SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral, said that actual identities of the duo will be clear only after they are handed over to police.

“So far we can only say that two girls have been apprehended on LoC by the army,” the SSP said. (KNO)
