Srinagar: The Indian Meteorological Departement (IMD) has predicted erratic weather in Jammu and Kashmir till December 13.
In a statement, IMD said that weather is likely to remain mainly dry till December 6 evening. As expected earlier, there are less than 90% chances of moderate snowfall with isolated heavy fall during December 7-8 on higher reaches of J&K and Ladakh like Gulmarg, Zojila, Banihal-Ramban Top etc.
This system is likely to give more snowfall on northern parts of the Valley and Drass-Sonmarg axis. Meanwhile, plains of J&K, Zanskar, Drass and other places are likely to get light snowfall/rain.
“Thereafter as of now, another snow spell likely during December 12-13 may change slightly in coming days, predictability upto 60%.”
Above snow spell may led to disruption of Traffic on Zojila, Mugal Road etc, said the statement. (GNS)
