Ganderbal: A 17-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide on Friday by hanging himself at his home in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, KNO reported, quoting an unnamed official.

The boy hailing from Wanghat village allegedly hanged himself at his home late evening.

The official said that soon after the incident, the family members of the boy rushed him to SDH Kangan where he was declared dead on arrival.

“After conducting medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to his family for last rites,” the official said.

He said that an FIR has been registered and investigations initiated in the case. (KNO)
