Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department is all set to announce the annual results of 8th class students on Saturday, officials said on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the J&K State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) said that it had successfully completed the exams of 8th standard.
“After the successful completion of the examination of 8th standard, SCERT had ordered that the results shall be declared on December 5 in all districts,” a notification by the Council reads.
SCERT also directed all the District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIETs) to maintain a proper record and database of the students and prepare the result gazettes at the earliest.
Meanwhile, an official at SCERT told KNO that it will start holding classes immediately after the results are declared.
“There were no new guidelines from the government and thus we will continue to hold the online classes soon after the declaration of 8th standard results,” the official said.
Pertinently, this was the first time SCERT conducted the 8th standard exams in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, conducting the said exams was the mandate of erstwhile State Institute of Education (SIE) through DIETs under the overall control and supervision of the School Education Department. (KNO)
