Budgam: Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a non-local after recovering ‘fukki’, a narcotic substance, from his vehicle in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Reports suggest the said person used to roam from village to village selling honey, but actually he was a smuggler and used to supply fukki to his customers.
Confirming his arrest, a police official from Police Station Beerwah told KNT that during naka checking at Sonpah Crossing, a police party stopped one Harbinder Singh, son of Sher Singh, a resident of Ludhiana Punjab, and during a search of his vehicle (PB10-FW1468), 32 Kg fukki was recovered from him.
