Srinagar: The former Mayor of Srinagar and ex-Peoples Conference leader Junaid Azim Mattu was re-elected as Mayor of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Wednesday, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported.
However, the number of votes he got in the much-hyped elections was not known immediately.
Mattu has defeated his rival, Sheikh Imran, his former deputy at the SMC.
Mattu was removed as the SMC mayor in June this year after he lost a no-confidence motion moved against him in the city body. KNO
