Baramulla: Suspected burglars on Thursday night broke a donation box and decamped with cash at Hazrat Sayed Nizamuddin Bukhari’s shrine in Delina area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Quoting locals, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported that in the intervening night of Thursday-Friday, burglars entered the Delina shrine where they broke open a donation box and decamped with cash.
Locals expressed concern over the incident and demanded stern punishment for the culprits.
Police officials confirmed the incident and said that a case has been registered in this regard. “We are ascertaining the facts,” they said.
Pertinently, overnight thefts at shrines are on the rise since past some time. Many such incidents took place during the past few months.
