Rajouri: A man has allegedly killed his elder brother during a duel over a land dispute in Rajouri district of Jammu region on Wednesday.
Quoting police officials, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported that two brothers from Chingus village of Rajouri entered a confrontation over a land dispute on Wednesday morning.
“In a fit of rage, 46-year-old Muhammad Aslam, son of Faqir Muhammad, attacked his elder brother with an axe, leaving him critically wounded,” officials said, adding that the injured was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital Rajouri where he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Muhammad Sharif, son of Faqir Muhammad of Chingus.
The accused Muhammad Aslam is absconding while a case has been registered against him in Rajouri Police Station.
A team from Police Post Chingus Chatyar is investigating the matter. KNO
