Ganderbal: The traffic movement on 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh highway, which was suspended last Saturday after fresh snowfall at Zojila Pass, was restored on Wednesday morning.
Quoting officials, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported that the road was opened for one-way traffic in Leh to Srinagar direction.
Officials have requested people to contact the control rooms before starting their journey on the road.
Due to snowfall earlier this week, authorities had closed the Srinagar-Leh road, which passes through Zojila pass and connects Jammu and Kashmir with Ladakh union territory, for traffic.
The road was closed for traffic as a precautionary measure in the wake of snowfall, the officials said. KNO
