The Delhi Police has arrested two Kashmiri youths on Monday night from Sarai Kale Khan area of the city, claiming that they are “suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed militants”.
The duo was arrested by a special cell of Delhi Police near Millennium Park, Sarai Kale.
“On the basis of the information received, a trap was laid near Millennium Park, Sarai Kale Khan, and two suspected militants, who are residents of Jammu and Kashmir, were apprehended around 10.15,” PTI quoted Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav as saying.
Police claimed that they have recovered two semi-automatic pistols and 10 live cartridges from their possession.
Reports identified the duo as Abdul Lateef Mir, 22, son of Sanaullah Mir, from Dooru Baramulla and Mohammed Ashraf, 20, son of Bashir Ahmed Khatana, from Hatmulla Kupwara
