North Kashmir: Gurez Valley in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district received season’s first snowfall on Saturday morning.
Upper reaches of Gurez Valley including Chrownan area received snowfall today morning while the plains of the valley also received light snowfall coupled with rains.
Razdan Pass — the gateway to the mountainous valley — also received season’s first snowfall late last night.
Earlier on Friday, the 84-km Bandipora-Gurez road was closed by authorities for traffic in view of weather advisory issued by the local meteorological department.
Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla District also received another fresh snowfall while the plains witnessed intermittent rains.
The plains also received light snowfall coupled with intermittent rains with temperature going down below normal. KNO
