Handwara: Half a dozen shops were looted on Wednesday night in Kralgund Langate area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Quoting the victim shopkeepers, Kashmir News Trust (KNT) reported they found the shutters and locks of their shops broken when they visited the market this morning.
The burglars are reported to have decamped with cash and accessories from a readymade garment shop, a bakery shop, a dry fruit shop and other shops belonging to Javid Iqbal, Ashiq Hussain, Tanvir Ahmed, Tahir Ahmed and others.
The shops are located in Kralgund Chowk of Langate.
Police said they have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation. KNT
