Srinagar: The Crime Branch Kashmir on Tuesday produced chargesheet in connection with a case registered eight years ago on a complaint by a US-based woman that she was cheated by a person on the pretext of constructing a hut for her in Kashmir Valley.
Quoting an officer of the Crime Branch, Global News Service (GNS) reported that the chargesheet in the case (FIR No 15/2012) was filed before the Court of City Judge Srinagar.
“The case pertains to the complaint of one Simon Kour Nanda, a resident of New Jersey USA, mentioning therein that the accused Pardeep Singh Bali, son of Jagdesh Singh, of Uller Rajpora Awantipora, cheated her on the pretext of constructing a hut for her,” the officer said.
“As per the complaint, the hut was not handed over to her and the accused Pardeep Singh Bali grabbed a huge amount of money from her,” the officer added. GNS
