Srinagar: After the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference (JKPC) on Monday said that it has filed a plea in the Supreme Court seeking early hearing of a batch of petitions challenging the decision taken by Central government on August 5 last year, the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration has called it a joint decision of all the parties of the conglomerate.
This came to fore after a tweet by former Chief Minister and National Conference Vice-president Omar Abdullah whose party is a part of the Alliance.
Quoting a tweet by LiveLaw, news about the JKPC plea, Omar said the decision was taken at the recent meeting of the Alliance.
“As decided in the recent meeting of the People’s Alliance we are seeking early hearings in this matter so that the petitions challenging 5th Aug 2019 move forward,” Omar tweeted.
