Kupwara: In the ongoing gunfight following the foiling of a major infiltration in Machil sector of Kupwara district, the Army late Sunday evening claimed to have recovered a huge quantity of war-like stores and Rs 50,000 Indian currency and a radio set from the encounter site.
Quoting defence sources, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported that a huge quantity of war-like store that includes 2 AK with 2 magazines and 60 rounds, 1 Pistol with 2 magazines and 29 rounds besides a radio set.
The recovery from the slain militants includes Rs 50,000 Indian currency along with administrative stores, the sources said. The joint operation is in progress.
It may be recalled that in the ongoing operation, three militants and three Army men have been killed while two have got injuries. Besides, a constable of BSF got killed in the initial exchange of gunfire. KNO
