Srinagar: Former Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party Chairperson Mehbooba Mufti Tuesday expressed her wish that Jammu and Kashmir should become a bridge of love and peace between India, Pakistan and China.
“To protect the future of Kashmiri youth, we will go to any length. Earlier all laws were made in consultation with the public and they were people-friendly. But now, laws are being imposed on Kashmiris which are against their existence and we would not tolerate it,” she said on the sidelines of a function organized by her party’s youth wing.
Mehbooba said that India is following anti-people and anti-Jammu & Kashmir policies.
“I will lead the youth to safeguard and secure our rights. We will fight against suppression. We have fought against Task Force, surrendered militants and POTA and we will now take on against the elements who have put the dignity of the people on stake,” she said.
She said that not only the dignity and identity of Kashmir need to be safeguarded but this issue needs to be addressed. “I will always be on the forefront leading my children,” she said. KNT
