Srinagar: Days after the Government of India repealed 12 land laws and amended 14 others of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state, the Union Territory Government has transferred 24,000 kanals (3000 acres) of land to the Industries and Commerce Department for “investment purposes”, Daily Excelsior reported, quoting officials, adding that an equal amount of land will be notified shortly following clearance from the Forest Department.
