Sopore: Three families were rendered homeless after a devastating fire turned their residential houses into ashes Wednesday evening at Neharpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported.
“The massive fire first broke out in the double-storey residential house of one Ghulam Nabi Shah. Later two nearby houses of Abdul Majeed Shah and Reyaz Ahmad Shah also caught fire, rendering three families homeless,” officials said, adding that property worth lakhs got damaged.
Two more residential houses belonging to Ali Muhammad Shah and Bashir Ahmad Shah also got partially damaged in the blaze.
Tehsildar Sopore Shabir Ahmad told KNO that they have sent a team to the spot to assess the damage. KNO
