Awantipora gunfight: One militant killed, operation on

Srinagar: One militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter in Noorpora area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Quoting a senior police officer, Global News Service (GNS) reported that one militant has been killed in theongoing encounter, however identity of the militant is yet to be ascertained.

Reports reaching GNS said that a joint team of Police and Army’s 42RR launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Noorpora.

As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight. GNS
