Poonch: After higher reaches in Kashmir valley received season’s maiden snowfall on Sunday evening, the historic Mughal road connecting Poonch with Shopian via Pir Ki Gali has been closed for vehicular traffic by the authorities, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported.
Quoting officials, KNO reported that on Sunday evening, the higher reaches of Kashmir including Pir Panjal received season’s first snowfall.
“Severe slippery conditions have arisen over the road making it accident-prone following which it has been closed for traffic,” the officials said.
They added that barricades have been erected over the road at Poshana check post while no vehicle is being allowed to cross the point. KNO
