Ganderbal: Locals in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday staged a protest after a minibus was hit by an Army vehicle at Hariganiwan Kangan area in which one passenger sustained injuries.

Kashmir News Observer reported that the passenger, identified as Muhammad Maqbool Khan, 55, son of Muhammad Khan, of Hariganiwan Kangan, was injured after a minibus he was travelling in, bearing registration number JK16-5587, was hit by an Army vehicle.

“Injured has been shifted to SKIMS Soura from Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kangan for further treatment,” sources said.

Furthermore, witnesses said that the locals hit the streets and staged a protest against the Army.

The locals also blocked Srinagar-Leh road and demanded action against the driver. The protest was going on when the last reports came in.
