Kupwara: Police and Army on Tuesday claimed to have recovered 5 pistols along with 10 magazines and 138 rounds from a bag which was suspiciously lying in Teetwal area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Quoting a police officer, Global News Service reported that Police Post Teetwal received specific information regarding the presence of a bag containing suspicious material at village Gundi Shart. Subsequently, the officer said, a joint party of Police and Army’s 6 JAK rifle conducted a search at the spot.
“During the search, a black coloured bag containing 5 9mm Pistols, 10 magazines, 138 rounds and two biscuit packets was found,” the officer said.
Police have registered a case (FIR No 78/2020) u/s 7/25 IA Act and started investigations. GNS
