Weapon-snatching bid foiled in Srinagar, youth held

Bandipora: An Army soldier was critically injured on Sunday afternoon when his service rifle went off accidentally in Paribal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

An official told Kashmir News Observer that the army soldier, identified as Hambir Kumar of 27 RR, posted at Paribal camp, was critically injured when his service rifle went off accidentally while on duty this afternoon.

The official said that the injured soldier was rushed to 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment. KNO
