Pakistan claims shooting down Indian spying quadcopter, 11th this year

The Pakistan army on Wednesday claimed to have shot down an Indian spying quadcopter in Chakoti Sector along the Line of Control (LoC).

In a tweet, the Army’s media and public relations wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said that the quadcopter was shot down after it had intruded 500 meters into Pakistan’s side of the LoC.

This is the 11th Indian quadcopter shot down by Pakistan Army this year, the tweet added.

There was no immediate comment from the Indian side over the incident.

Earlier on July 26 this year, the Pakistan Army had claimed to shot down the 10th Indian quadcopter in the Pandu sector along the LoC.

The military’s media wing had said that the “spying” quadcopter had intruded 200 metres into Pakistan’s side of the LoC.
