Budgam: A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Kawoosa area of Narbal in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday afternoon.
Official sources told Kashmir News Observer that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Kawoosa today afternoon.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.
A senior police officer also confirmed the exchange of fire between forces and militants. As per sources, two to three militants are believed to be trapped. KNO
