Arms, ammunition recovered during CASO in Baramulla

Baramulla: Security forces on Monday claimed to have recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition during a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Boniyar area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Quoting unnamed officials, Kashmir News Observer reported that a joint team of 5 JAT and police launched a massive CASO in Banalo forest.

“During the search operation, a huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including 2 dismantled AK 47 rifles, 2 magazines, 74 rounds, 10 grenades, one pistol, 2 radio sets, Pakistani currency worth Rs 4000 and one pouch, was recovered,” the officials said.

A police official said that a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been taken up. KNO
