Srinagar: The family members of senior Hurriyat leader and former chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani has not tested positive for COVID-19 and is doing well, his family said.
“My father has not tested positive for COVID-19. He is absolutely fine by the grace of Allah,” Geelani’s son, Syed Naseem Geelani told Kashmir News Observer.
Earlier, some media reports suggested that Geelani had tested positive for the deadly virus. Pertinently, the 91-year-old leader recently resigned as the Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman. He, however, continues to be under house arrest at his Hyderpora residence since past more than eight years. KNO
