Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday reported 701 new infections including 80 travelers, taking the overall case count to 13899 in J&K.
According to the news gathering wire, GNS, 100 cases were confirmed from Jammu and 601 from Kashmir Valley including six pregnant women, ten minors, some JK Bank Employees besides several paramilitary CRPF and army personnel.
Giving the district wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 290 cases, Baramulla 53, Kulgam 7, Shopian 21, Anantnag 28, Kupwara 84, Pulwama 46, Budgam 21, Bandipora 27, Ganderbal 24, Jammu 40, Kathua 8, Rajouri 40, Udhampur 7, Doda 3 and Reasi 2.
Most of the fresh cases were confirmed at SKIMS Soura and CD hospital laboratories, source said.
Jammu and Kashmir reported ten more deaths attributed to covid-19 on Sunday, taking the fatality count to 246 in J&K.
Srinagar district with 62 deaths has the highest fatalities followed by Baramulla (51), Kulgam (24), 18 each in Shopian, Anantnag and Budgam, Kupwara (13), Pulwama (13), Jammu(12), Bandipora (5), Ganderbal (4), two each in Rajouri and Doda and one each in Poonch, Udhampur, and Kathua.
Meanwhile, 646 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 27 from Jammu Division and 619 from Kashmir Valley. GNS
