Srinagar: Two militants were killed in an encounter in Hardshiva area of North Kashmir’s Sopore on Wednesday.
Official sources told GNS that two militant have been killed during firefight, however, their identity is yet to ascertained.
Meanwhile Mobile Internet services have been suspended in Sopore for precautionary measures.
Pertinently, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar recently in a press conference said that our focus will shift towards north Kashmir after wiping out militancy in South.
Earlier According to the reports reaching GNS, a joint team of Police, Army’s 22 RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Hardshiva.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.(GNS)
